Humpty’s Redemption

Humpty’s Redemption

Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall,

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,

All the king's horses and all the king's men,

Couldn't put Humpty together again.

Humpty was shattered, filled with regret,

He knew, soon, him they would forget,

Resigning to this fate, he knew was wrong,

So, he made a decision, Humpty was strong.

Putting himself together wasn’t going to be easy,

But, to start with what he had was the key,

So, with utmost love and patient care,

He got to work, without much fanfare.

Slowly, he climbed again, up the wall,

There he sat with pride, still standing tall,

All the king's horses and all the king's men,

Couldn't believe they were seeing Humpty again.

Since then, every scar he wore with pride,

A testimony, to his spirit that never died,

Now his heart is at peace with itself,

Happy, that he did not give up on himself.
