In search of Paradise

I always looked for a perfect world,
A never ending search for a world I could call paradise.

Situations and people were never right,
As I searched for perfection and angels, in paradise.

As I woke up one morning to the news of someone's demise,
I realised I'm still alive, I'm blessed, may be I'm already in paradise.

As I hurried for work cribbing about rush hour,
I saw some unemployed desperate for work, I thought I'm blessed to have work, may be I'm already in paradise.

I ran after the train, grabbed the hand rail and got in just in time,
There I saw a man without arms and legs, I thought I'm blessed to have working limbs, may be I'm already in paradise.

As I took time off work to have lunch sitting by a window at office,
I saw outside someone poor and hungry, I thought I'm blessed to have food on my plate, may be I'm already in paradise.

As evening came it was time for coffee, gossip, complaining and cribbing,
Until I heard of a friend who is ailing, I thought I'm blessed to still be healthy, may be I'm already in paradise.

I left for home thinking about what a long and difficult day it was,
When I saw some people looking for a shelter to spend the night, I thought I'm blessed to have a home to return to, may be I'm already in paradise.

As I had dinner and a nice conversation with family,
I thought of a friend who returns home to an empty house, I thought I'm blessed to have a family, may be I'm already in paradise.

As it got late in night it was time for bed,
In the cozy room and soft bed,
I thought of all that God has given, I realised I have been blessed, indeed I am already in paradise!!!!

Often we take the most basic things for granted. Most of us who are reading this have been blessed with so much by God but we tend to forget it. This life, a healthy body, food on the table, a house to stay, a family to share your happiness and sadness, good clothes to wear, a comfortable bed to sleep, an education that gives us a competitive edge, the list is endless. Let us take time every day to thank God for these wonderful blessings. Thank you God!!

As the law and order situation in India and on the streets of its metros continued to remain a cause for concern the authorities decided its time to call upon an international superhero. So they managed to get in touch with Peter Parker who responded and Spiderman was on his way to India. He decided his first city would be Mumbai. His flight landed in Mumbai and he made for the immigration counter much impressed by by T2. At the immigration counter he handed over his passport to the officer who had a big smile on his face. Before the break of dawn his flight landed at Mumbai international airport. Naresh’s son, Vijayant, was waiting to receive him. “Welcome, dad,” he greeted his father. “So good to see you, son.” “Same here, dad.
