Faith
A pious man wasn’t happy with his life. He prayed by day and night for a solution to his troubles. Finally, one day God appeared. “What troubles you, my child?” asked God. The man’s eyes welled up. “My life is a mess, God. I feel suffocated, I feel captive, a prisoner to situations beyond my control,” he complained. God smiled and said, “close your eyes.” He closed his eyes, tears rolled down his cheeks. “Now open your eyes,” said God after a couple of minutes. He opened his eyes and found himself locked up in a cell. He looked around but God was nowhere to be seen. “God?” he called, but couldn’t see him anywhere. He sat down in a corner. ‘The story of my life,’ he thought. ‘Seems God has abandoned me!’ “I never abandon any child of mine,” said God. The man was startled. Yet, he could not see God anywhere. “Why do you search here and there?” asked God. “Look inside, I am within you. I am in every heart that beats.
